Lindstrom Construction Ltd. (LCL) was founded in 1956 by Arthur Lindstrom as a small residential framing company to assist in the development of the small town of Prince George. As the town grew and the forestry sector took off, an increased demand for sawmill installations became apparent.
Considering the way forestry was going, and with a shortage of mill builders in the area, LCL moved more towards industrial forestry installations. This included dry kilns, chip bins, and other miscellaneous mill installations.
These mill installations also included Pre-Engineered metal buildings in order to enclose the harvesting machinery, provide dry site storage for the lumber, as well as the office buildings for mill staff.
After installing a few Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings, Arthur realized the durability and versatility of the product. Though at the time it was very popular for industrial purposes, he recognized that Metal Buildings can be used for several other applications.
It was because of this that in 1971, LCL became an official builder for the growing Pre-Engineered metal building industry, and has remained a Pre-Engineered Design-Builder until today. Lindstrom Construction has now been an established base of business in Prince George for 50 years, and is recognized as one of the most experienced Pre-Engineered metal building contractors in Western Canada.
